The courses include practical and theoretical training in EWP and Boom Lifts operation. On successful completion of the course you will have the knowledge and skill to operate the equipment in a safe and competent manner. Small class sizes ensure students receive maximum time operating the EWP / Boom Lifts. Part of the EWP theory component (workbook) is completed at home prior to the course. Please let us know if you need assistance with reading or writing.

• Students MUST be at least 18 years old to complete the Boom Lift 11m+ (High Risk) course

The Yellow Card course is designed for those who need to use types of EWP’s that do not require a Worksafe High Risk licence. These include;

• Scissor lift (class SL),
• Vertical lift (class VL)
• Self Propelled Boom lifts (under 11 metres) – (class BL)
• Trailer mounted Boom lifts (under 11 metres) -(class TL)
• Truck Mounted Boom – TM (under 11 metres)- (class TM)

Yellow Card Courses are held at our Ferntree Gully, Sunshine West, Carrum Downs and Campbellfield Training Centres and provide training in Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts and Vertical Lifts ( class BL, SL & VL). Our centre at Ferntree Gully is also equipped with a Vertical Lift.  Various locations are available throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area. On successful completion of this course you will receive an EWPA Yellow Card, which confirms that you have been trained in the safe use of the work platform(s) as noted on the ticket. You will also receive a Statement of Attainment RIIHAN301D Operate elevating work platform.

Our EWP Training is conducted at four of our training centres located in Ferntree Gully, Carrum Downs, Campbellfield and Sunshine West. During your training course you will have access to our simulated work areas and a range of plant including boomlift, scissor lift and vertical lifts. During your training you will be taught how to operate each equipment including pre-start checks, maneuvering and many other exercises tailored to your ability.

We conduct our EWP and Yellow Card Training at our Ferntree Gully, Carrum Downs, Campbellfield and Sunshine West training centres.

Our Ferntree Gully facility is located at Unit 3, 1825 Ferntree Gully Road, VIC. You can find our building behind Burdens Plumbtec (the large blue building). We conduct Forklift, Order Picker, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform and White Card courses at our Ferntree Gully facility.

Our Sunshine West Facility is located at 16 Enterprise Way, Sunshine West, VIC. We conduct Forklift, EWP, Yellow Card, White Card and Working at Heights at our Sunshine West Facility.

Our Carrum Downs training centre is located at 8 Sonia Street, Carrum Downs and we also conduct Forklift, Order Picker, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, White Card and Yellow Card courses at our Carrum Downs training centre.

Our Campbellfield training centre is located at 2 The Crossway, Campbellfield and we also conduct Forklift, Order Picker, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, White Card and Yellow Card courses at our Campbellfield training centre.

We have multiple types of plant available for training our students including elevated work platforms (boom lifts), scissor lifts and vertical lifts. During your training course you will have ample time on the equipment and be trained in a range of exercises and maneuvers.

All of our venues have multiple food options.

We provide free breakfast foods such as cereals, toast and fresh seasonal fruits that students can access throughout the day.

All venues also have a free coffee machine for fresh coffee along with a range of other hot drinks such as teas and cup-a-soups etc.

There are kitchen facilities available for student use at each venue including toasters, microwaves, sandwich presses etc.

There are also a range of local cafes and fast food locations within a short walking distance to our venues. Our Ferntree Gully and Hayward Road facilities are serviced by a food truck daily around 9.30am which sells a range of fresh sandwiches, hot pies and snacks.

Generally our classes begin at 8.00am each day Monday through to Saturday. Some of our classes begin slightly earlier at 7.30am, you will be informed of your class start time via a booking confirmation and a confirmation SMS sent to you a few days prior to your class.

Yes, we offer ample breaks throughout the day. An initial break is provided at 9.45am at which time a food van visits our Ferntree Gully location. Lunch and other shorter regular breaks are provided throughout the day.

We provide all safety equipment necessary for your course including hi-vis vest and hard-hats where applicable. All you need to bring is a sturdy pair of shoes (no thongs please) and adequate clothing. Please note that during winter months the temperatures within our warehouse can be low, please come with sufficient warm clothing on cold weather days.

Yes, once you have been booked in you will receive an e-mail with a workbook and other materials attached. The workbook should be completed prior to attending to ensure maximum time available for practical training. A hardcopy of the workbook and training materials can be provided on request and mailed out to you with sufficient notice.

Yes, you must complete your workbook prior to attending our class. Failure to do so may result you being denied access to your course on the day and a re-booking fee will be applicable. This is to ensure that students get adequate practical training on the machines and that the class isn’t being held up by those who haven’t completed the workbook.
