EXCAVATOR TRAINING COURSE STRUCTURE

Our Excavator Training Melbourne course includes both practical and theory training. The structure of our course and our small class sizes ensure that students receive maximum time operating the Excavator on our simulated worksite. We have some of the best and most experienced Excavator Training in the business and you will walk away from this course with confidence and the skills necessary to safely operate an excavator.

Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency – RIIMPO320F Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations

  • Valid photo identification (click here for details)

On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued a Plant Operator Card and the corresponding RII Statement of Attainment.

Our Earth Moving Training is conducted at our Earthworks Facility located at 7-9 Hayward Road, Ferntree Gully. During your training course you will have access to our simulated worksite and range of plant including Excavator, Skid Steer, Front End Loader, Backhoe and Roller. During your training you will be taught how to operated the relvant machine including including pre-start checks, maneuvering and many other exercises tailored to your ability.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We conduct all Earth Moving Training at our Earthworks facility located at 7-9 Hayward Road, Ferntree Gully Road, VIC 3156.

We have multiple types of plant available for training our students. During this course you will have access to excavators however you also have the option to add extra units such as backhoe, tractor, roller, skid steer and front end loader. We also have various accessories including augers, buckets including quick hitch and trailers to practice loading and unloading. We have a variety of machine brands including Wacker Neuson, JCB and John Deere ensuring that you get maximum exposure to various machines and equipment as possible.

There are a number of shops and takeaways within a short distance of our Ferntree Gully facility including bakeries located at the Mountain Gate shopping centre, Red Rooster, On It Burgers, McDonalds, Subway and KFC. If you are unsure about their locations one of our friendly staff can direct you. McDonalds is the closest food outlet just 1-2 minutes walk from our premise. We also offer free tea, coffee and biscuits for all our students.

Generally our classes begin at 8.00am each day Monday through to Saturday. Some of our classes begin slightly earlier at 7.30am, you will be informed of your class start time via a booking confirmation and a confirmation SMS sent to you a few days prior to your class.

Yes, we offer ample breaks throughout the day. An initial break is provided at 9.45am at which time a food van visits our Ferntree Gully location. Lunch and other shorter regular breaks are provided throughout the day.

We provide all safety equipment necessary for your course including hi-vis vest and hard-hats where applicable. All you need to bring is a sturdy pair of shoes (no thongs please) and adequate clothing. Please note that during winter months the temperatures can be low, please come with sufficient warm clothing on cold weather days.

Yes, once you have been booked in you will receive an e-mail with all relevant training materials.

The service by Kyle was amazing, he was able to assist with booking in dates at the last minute and allowing us to work around our busy times. Trainers were excellent in both teaching theoretical and practical driving with unlimited training and re-attempts, massive props to them.However, website is misleading. I applied for my High-Reach Forklift License after finishing my Forklift (LF) License thinking that i would be receiving a (more specific) License as per the website suggests on the course listing. However, I recieved a Verification of Competency (VOC), I called to complain and was told that i would be contacted via email or phone on Monday 18th November concering my complaint however i have yet to recieve a callback since and a my digital copy of the VOC I completed on the day.Hopefully I can get this resolved.

I coordinate a GTO and often have to book in multiple apprentices on short notice. Kyle (Course Consultant) made things so easy for me. I was able to have flexible payment options, the ability to book over the phone or via email, and the flexibility to choose days and times that suited me and my apprentices. I'll be calling up Kyle from now onwards when I need a course for one of my staff.
